why is TIG preferred for full penetration carbon steel small bore pipe butt welds in the fixed position?

because other processes like mig, stick, and flux core are just too fast....by the time you strike the arc, you need to be repositioned already.
tig works better for small bore pipe because it is slower, and allows the welder to re position .
