What weld holds the most strength on tubing or are all welds equally as strong? I am referring to mainly MIG vs TIG.
---------------------------------------------------
there are so many variables. but as a rule, both are equally as strong if both are done right.
sometimes tig welding heats the metal for too long and makes the grains grow to a point where it is not as good as mig.
but sometimes mig is too fast and allows the surrounding metal to cool too quickly...such as on 4130 chromoly tubing.
it really depends on a lot of factors, but like i say, if done right, both are good.
