welding 304 SS pipe outside

How cold can it be outside before a pre heat is needed to weld Stainless Pipe ?

---------------------------------------------------

If the pipe is welded to a code then that code will dictate the preheat issues.

For carbon steel, I think typically is 32 degrees f. before preheat is needed. And even then the min preheat on some carbon steels is only 60 deg f.

Stainless wont harden from being too cold but condensation is another issue.
