vertical progressive stitch. (filling gaps, thin metals, mini root passes)

Do not try this for open root or x-ray groove welds. Say you got a gap on a stiffener welding vertical. You are set for all positions (hot for vertical), and you dont want to turn you machine down or leave those pretty dingle berries that remind you of the "First Time". Trigger the thing. just get a good base to bridge the gap at the bottom and stop. strike an arc again and fill the gap and stop. always start at the top of the last button, and DO NOT LET IT COOL DOWN. unless its thin metal. it will leave a tig like appearance, but anybody who has welded before will know. dont leave it as a cover pass.
