by Russ
(Ontario, canada)

i'm trying to qualify a Vertical Down procedure with metalcore 0.45 wire. i need to provide macroetching samples for 1/4" fillet on 3\4" back plate and 1\4" up plate , and i'm struggling to find the correct parameters. Any Help would help. Thanks

russ,

lincoln has some good spec sheets that offer parameters that usually are a good starting point.

Wire speed NEW
by: Anonymous

I usually burn around 23.8 and 24.8 volts. My wire speed verys between 350 to 400, when I burn at 24.8 volts i turn down my wire speed to about 300 to 350 and it gives me a nice down hand weld using mcaw.
