I am carrying out a design project in college which involves costing the manufacturing processes of made parts. I was wondering what type of welding should be used to weld the frame shown in the picture (it would be made from three pieces of hollow box section, mild steel, 50mm x 50mm x 2mm approx) and how long roughly this would take? Thanks!

From the image you posted, there are only 3 sides to this frame.

Mig welding is the most efficient method.

Everyone is different, but the welding on this part should only take a few minutes.

I could definitely fit it up and weld it in less than 10 minutes.
