Hello I'm trying to get ready for a G6 tig welding test on 28mm dia pipe 5.5mm thickness and I'm really struggling I've not been shown how to really do this and I've not done any Tig at college when I was there.
I'm a coded arc welder but this is a different ball game.
I love using Tig and I really want the coding for when I emigrate to Australia.
Is there anyone who can put some pictures on here or some web links and tell me how I do the test ie: do I need a longer tungsten when I start at the bottom and more amp etc?
How should I hold the torch and filler wire??
I'm right handed and I'm not too bad one way the the other way I have to try cross my hands to go up!!
Its a NIGHTMARE PLEASE HELP!!!
THANKS IN ADVANCE TO ANYONE THAT DOES.
Marc.
