TIG OVER MIG

CAN YOU TIG WELD OVER MIG WELDS SO AS TO SMOOTH THE WELD.I AM GOING TO TRY AND TIG AN OLD GAS TANK TOGETHER AND IT IS AROUND 25 GAUGE SO WHAT SIZE ELECTRODE AND WHAT VOLTAGE SHOULD I USE.IT WILL BE BUTT WELDED.I HAVE CUT THE TANK TO A DIFFERENT SIZE AND ALREADY TACKED TOGETHER WITH MY MIG.I HAVE A MILLER ECONOTIG 165.THANKS,RON

yes you can tig over mig...it will not be as pretty but you can sure do it.

using some 309 stainless filler might work a lot better than e70s wire for this.
