I am in welding school and I am now learning how to weld with the TIG unit. My question is, I tried to weld a 1/4 coupon together and it looked great. I bent it (no cracking). But as it cooled off it cracked right down the welded site.
Thanks

that happens sometimes,
thats why you should probably wait until it cools for bend tests.
aluminum is a weird metal. the weld and heat affected zone becomes softer than the base metal and bends differently .
