Sugaring in a small Oxygen carrying vessel because I forgot to purge

Hello,

I wasn't thinking when I rushed into creating a small O2 vessel, but forgot to purge before TIGing it. This 3" x 12" container will be a reservoir for 99% pure Gaseous oxygen so do I cut one end off and clean the oxygen or just let it fly? Will the sugar come off at any point and clog an O2 filter down stream? Will the O2 atmosphere react any further and cause a failure?
