Does a Red Seal (Canadian Interprovincial) also certify a welder to work in the United States

I am not sure what the official answer is but in my experience, contractors will often test you no matter what cert you have.

there has been a big effort to cut down on all the redundant testing at least within unions, but i still hear of welders re testing at nearly every new job.
