I tig a 3/16" "weldable brass rod" as sort of an axle into an investment cast manganese bronze buckle body, I've struggled with a decent weld and good color match with the manganese. What suggestions would you have for filler rod, gas, different axle material, or anything else? I currently run a 180 Syncrowave with straight argon and a 2%thor. tungsten. I've been using an unknown rod but need to order more. Thanks for any help you might have!

wtt response,

silicon bronze filler rod in 1/16" diameter should work.
