Why? Because Even moving a quarter inch off track when you nod your helmet down can really screw things up with mig welding.
Why? Because Your mig welder is a cold hearted SOB!
It starts laying down metal without concern for your well being or whether or not you are on track. With an Auto Darkening helmet you can stay on track and avoid getting out the grinder. Because Grinding sucks!

I bought one for an extra and I find myself using it a lot.
You would think a 50 dollar helmet would be a poc. Not so.
