How ofter should a person grind and wire brush, to clean slicon?
-------------------------------------------------
you can get away with a little bit of silicon islands on the weld if you are welding hot enough but it is good practice to remove it .
after a few passes it gets too often and too thick and can cause lack of fusion...you can feel the gun stutter when you go over a heavy chunk of silicon.
i would say about every other pass...but hey , it sure wont hurt to hit it with a wire wheel every pass
