how much psi for mig welding

Wondering how many p.s.i. for mig welding

-------------------------------------------------

i think you might mean flow rate and not pressure.

the pressure is often set at the factory on mig regulators.

the flow rate on the flowmeter depend on the nozzle size and how much of a draft there is in the shop.

usually about 20-25 cfh is ok for an industrial machine with a nozzle that is about 5/8" id.

for small mig machines with small guns and nozzles, less gas flow like around 15 cfh is often enough
