How do you do a flux core test? Im going on an interview tomorrow.
------------------------------------------------
flux core tests are all different.
a common flux core welding test is a 3g vertical 3/8" thick beveled plate with a 1/4 inch gap and backing plate.
22.5 deg bevel on each plate.
slight side to side motion without weaving too much.
machine settings vary with filler wire type.
polarity is according to filler wire.
keep the torch angle consistent and stickout at the recommended distance.
and plan one bead ahead so you wont trap yourself in a corner.
