How do I put a cap on 2 inch schedule 80 with stick

I just got a job working as a welder and one of the test they give is a 2 inch test using stick.I so far have been able to get my root in using a 16 gap after it all tack togather I use a cuting wheel and run it through the gap making it bigger it really seems to work.the hot pass seems to be easy but the real question is how do I put a cap on it?
