Getting argon to work miller dialarc tig

I cant seem to get the argon to cycle when trying to tig with a used dialarc hf I bought and the guy was welding aluminum with it the morning I picked it up?? Any ideas of what I am not doin?

possible problems

switch in foot pedal...the micro switch in the foot pedal initiates the solenoid for argon.

contactor switch on machine needs to be set to remote

gas solenoid might be sticking or bad

Return to tig forum.
