I'm working on developing a procedure for welding 316L with a 316L flux-cored filler rod. The material is 3/16" thick and was just wondering if there is any specific technique that can be used to obtain a sound weld without failing radiography for sugaring. The procedure is intended to eliminate the use of back purge gas, the torch will be shielded with argon.
