flux mig welder recommendation

by Don
(Tyler,TX (Smith Co.))

I need to weld flat iron up to 1/4" thick for continued use(with short intermediate stops) for 1 hour+- without over heating the unit. What size (amp & voltage) flux mig welder would you recommend that's reasonably priced. Also the brand and wire size to be used.

Thanks

sorry for the late answer...I really am not aware of a reasonably priced mig welder with a high duty cycle rating.

i would say shop craigslist for a miller xmt 304.

also , i like hobart fabshield 21b flux core self shielded wire in .045".
