what is the easiest way to clean the slag out of each pass on a 5g bend test?

a file with saw teeth ground into one side with a grinder is very useful for this.
raking the tooth side of the file back and forth down the edges of each pass gets most of it.
if there is undercut with heavy slag in the undercut dips, a grinder helps
