buttwelding 6" pipe
How many passes should it take to fill the gap in a 6 inch pipe buttweld and name them?

tig, mig, stick, flux core??
schedule 40, 80, 120, 160, xxx???
for 6" schedule 40, stick all the way, 6010 root and hot with 7018 fill and cap, it usually takes me, root, hot pass, one fill, cover pass...depending on position of weld and how bad i want to get done.
all the different processes and thicknesses of pipe take varying number of passes.
