1/16 flux core heat settings

by Jeph
(Ft.Sask, ab Can)

I am going for a 1f weld test tomorrow. I have burned a lot of .045 wire and I usually run between 26-28 v with 28-34 wire speed. I need some ball park settings for 1/16" wire. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have 2 web pages that might help.

http://www.lincolnelectric.com/en-us/Consumables/Pages/product.aspx?product=LincolnElectric_US_Consumable_Flux-CoredWires-Gas-Shielded-UltraCore-UltraCore70C%28LincolnElectric%29

and

http://www.millerwelds.com/resources/calculators/mig_flux_amperage_calculator.php

you should be able to get some pretty good ball park settings between the 2

I have always found that the miller wire speed was higher than i liked so keep that in mind.

regards,

jody
