110 Welder - PrimeWeld MIG180 runs off either 110 volt or 220v

primeweld mig180

If you are looking for a great little 110 welder, there are lots of options available to the point where it can be confusing.

The hobart handler 140 is a pretty good 110 welder and you can get it for around $649 at a tractor supply store but it only runs off 110-120 volt power and only does mig and flux core welding....but it is a pretty good little 110 welder.

Have you stopped to consider a MIG welder  that runs off both 110 volt power or 220 volt power...

and that is also a good stick welder...

and that can also be used for scratch start TIG....

AND that comes with a spool gun...

all for way less than $600?

Here is a series of videos using the primeweld mig180 Starting at setting the wire speed and going thru all types of welds

Padding MIG beads for practice

Then outside corner joints, tee joints, lap joints on the bench

Then vertical uphill and overhead welds.

All while plugged into a standard 120 volt outlet.

An electrician would probably correct me when I refer to welders as 110volt or 115 volt (since the standard house outlet in the USA is supposed to be 120 volt...)

but since normal folks still use the numbers 110 and 115 when talking about small mig welders, I need to put those numbers here as well.

I have done a whole series of videos using the primeweld mig180 plugged into a standard 110 volt- 120volt outlet in my shop.

A really cheap 110 welder from harbor freight can only do so much and is very limiting.

The Primeweld MIG180 will let you do all kinds of welding and if you are able to get 220-240volt power, you will be able to do a very wide variety of welding projects.
